Pallam Raju Inaugurates J

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) Minister of State for Defence MM Pallam Raju today complimented the Armed Forces for their role in providing security and development to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Inaugurating the 'Jammu and Kashmir Utsav' at the Defence pavilion in the ongoing India International Trade Fair here, Minister Raju said he was proud of the Indian Armed Forces for their efforts in combating terrorism and bringing peace in the valley.

Minister Raju evinced keen interest in the various photographs and equipment showcasing the campaign of victories, 'Paramvir Chakra' awardees, activities of Army Wives Welfare Association and Air Force Wives Welfare Association, and the arts, crafts and culture of Jammu&Kashmir.

Earlier, the Minister was received at the Defence Pavilion by the Chief of Army Staff General JJ Singh.

Later, the Minister of State and the Army Chief witnessed a spectacular dog show. In the visitors' book at the Defence pavilion, the Minister remarked: ''A very comprehensive and vivid display of the life of Kashmir, the dangers the people encounter and the formidable role of our Army and the great work done by the Army in fighting the terrorism gives inspiration to all of us''.
