NDFB calls for Karbi bandh against killing of cadres

Diphu, Nov 17 (UNI) The NDFB has called for a 12-hour Karbi Anglong district bandh tomorrow against the alleged murder of two of their cadres.

Two NDFB militants, including "area commander" B Nersong, were killed by police in retaliatory firing in Karbi Anglong yesterday after the militants had hurled two grenades at a police patrol party.

The NDFB, however, today claimed that the cadres were killed in a fake encounter.

The National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) was in a ceasefire agreement with the government even as allegetions of flouting truce ground rules by the cadres were regularly reported.
