Mehbooba hails central decision to enhance Haj quota

Srinagar, Nov 17 (UNI) Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti today welcomed the Centre's decision to enhance the Haj quota.

In a message from abroad, Ms Mufti lauded Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for granting special quota for pilgrims of Jammu and Kashmir.

She said the move was yet another confidence building measures as it has fulfilled the aspirations of several intending pilgrims.

Ms Mufti also thanked the Civil Aviation authorities and the External Affairs Ministry for taking keen interest in accommodating all Haj pilgrims from the state.
