Man hurls acid on his relative

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) A woman sustained severe burns after her uncle splashed acid at her for money on the outskirts of the city today.

Police said Asia Begum's husband was working in the United States for the last two years. Ms Begum's uncle Chand used to take money from her regularly and never repaid.

Mr Chand came to Begum's house this morning and insisted her for money. But she did not give him. Mr Chand picked up a quarrel with Begum and poured acid on her.

Local people rescued her and admitted to hospital for treatment.

Asia Begum's uncle was absconding.
