Mallya reaches Whyte
New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) United Breweries, which is in talks to acquire Scottish distiller Whyte&Mackay (M&W), has reached an enterprise value for the latter at Rs 4,000 crore.
''The entire funding is in place,'' UB Group Chairman Vijay Mallya told reporters here today.
M&W's core brands include Whyte&Mackay Scotch Whisky, Dalmore Single Highland Malt, Glavya Liquer and Isle of Jura Malt Whisky.
The company is in takeover talks with other wine companies also, he said, without divulging further details.
Talking about Kingfisher Airlines' plans, he said, it would add nine new Airbus aircraft by December 2007. The airlines would also take the number of daily flights to up to 160 by November 21, 2006, he added.
Presently the flier has 130 flights per day.
