Major police shake-up in UP

Lucknow, Nov 17 (UNI) In a major administrative reshuffle, the Uttar Pradesh government today effected the transfers of 32 IPS officials, including an IG and five DIGs.

In the process, police chiefs of 15 districts were also changed.

IG, Headquarters Ram Narain Singh has been posted as IG (Inter-state Border Force). Commandent, 24 battalion PAC, Moradabad Mahendra Modi has been shifted as DIG, PAC, Moradabad sector.

DIG, UP Power Corporation K K Tripathi has been posted as DIG PAC sector, Agra. DIG, PAC, Barabanki Teji Ram has been shifted to Police Training Centre, Unnao.

Meanwhile, DIG (Intelligence) B P Singh has been posted as DIG PAC sector, Varanasi and DIG CB-CID Sanjay M Tarde has been posted as DIG, Security Branch in the state capital.

SP, Headquarters Jyoti Narain has been posted as Commandant, 11 Battalion, PAC, Sitapur. SP, Headquarters Vijay Prakash has been made SP (Human Rights).

SP, Sitapur Dava Sherpa has been made Commandant, 8 Battalion PAC Bareilly. While, Ashok Muttha, who was SSP, Etawah is the new SP of Sitapur. SP, Sultanpur Ajay Mishra has been shifted as SP, Vigilance and SP, Lalitpur Pramod Kumar has now been posted as SP, Sultanpur.

SSP, Allahabad V S Meena has been posted as SP, Vigilance and SP, Maharajganj Tarun Gauba has been posted as SP, Railways in Jhansi. SP, Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy, Moradabad Amitabh Thakur is now the new SP, Maharajganj.

Ms Sachi Ghildiyal, who was SP, Jaunpur has been posted as SP, CID. M V Karndhar, who was SP, Human Rights has been shifted to Jaunpur in place of Ms Ghildiyal.

SP, Ghazipur N K Srivastava has been posted to the state capital as Commandant, 32 Battalion, PAC. SP, Vigilance L V Antony Dev Kumar takes over as the new SP of Ghazipur.

SP, Mahoba Pradip Chandra has been sent to PAC, B at Aligarh. Gyan Singh, who was Principal, PTC, Sitapur will be the new SP of Mahoba.

SP, Sant Kabir Nagar Deepak Sharma has ben sent to PAC, Fatehpur while SP, PTC Gorakhpur, Dharmveer will be the new police chief of Sant Kabir Nagar.

SP, Balrampur Prakash Tripathi has been sent to Kanpur in the Economic Offences Wing and Commandant PAC, Azamgarh Sanjiv Gupta takes over in his place.

SP, Kanpur Dehat Ram Kumar is now SSP, Etawah. Mohit Aggarwal, who was SP, HQ, is the new SP of Kanpur, Dehat. SP, Fatehgarh B D Palson is now SSP, Allahabad.

SP, PTC Sitapur S S Maheshwari is now the new SP of Fatehgarh. V P Singh, SP CID has been posted as SP, Lalitpur. SSP, Saharanpur Amitabh Yash has been posted as the commandent of the PAC Branch at Barabanki.
