Kerala to float public limited company to promote industry
Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 17 (UNI) The Kerala Cabinet today approved setting up a public limited company under the Industries Department to expedite land acquisition and other formalities for rapid industrialisation of the state.
Briefing newspersons here after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said the company would be floated on the lines of the successful Cochin International Airport Limited.
He said the Cabinet also sanctioned a joint venture project for setting up an international convention centre at Akkulam, near the city. The government would hold 26 per cent shares in the company.
