J'khand High Court asks CB Director to appear in fodder case
Ranchi, Nov 17 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director to appear on December 18 for violating court order in a case related to the Animal Husbandary department.
The court took a serious view when it came to know that the CBI transferred Superintendent of Police (CBI) Rajeev Ranjan Singh to Delhi without informing the court.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Muthusamy Karpagavinaygam and Justice N N Tiwary passed the order while hearing a writ petition, filed by Mr Singh.
On August 24, 2004, Jharkhand High Court had directed the investigating agency not to transfer any CBI official without court permission.
Despite of the court order, the CBI on October 25 this year transferred the SP to Delhi.
However, the court stayed the order.
