Hollywood actor-producer Brad Pitt meets Mumbai police Chief
Mumbai, Nov 17 (UNI) Hollywood actor producer Brad Pitt, who is here in connection with the shoot of his film 'A Mighty Heart', called on Mumbai police Commissioner A N Roy here this evening.
Actor Irfan Khan, a co-actor in the film, accompanied him to the police commissionerate situated in Crawford Market in South Mumbai. The meeting took place in the backdrop of the fracas which take place during the shoot in South Mumbai police yesterday.
Parents of the school children objected to the shoot during school hours and accused the security guards of using abusive language and threatening.
Mr Pitt, also the producer of the film, was away in Rajasthan when the film's shoot at a School was marred by altercation between the private security guards of actor Anjelina Jolie and the parents.
According to sources, the meeting between Mr Pitt and the police commissioner was arranged by the production team in India.
Yesterday's incident it was discussed during the meet. Similarly, they also discussed how such unsarovry situations could be avoived during the remaining shoot schedule in the city, sources said.
The three security guards were arrested following a written complaint of use of derogatory remarks and manhandling was filed by the parents against them at the Azad Maidan police station. The guards were released on bail by a local court.
The film's crew is in Mumbai since last Saturday and the shoot has taken place in different locations in South Mumbai. 'A Mighty Heart' is based on the life of slain journalist Daniel Pearl who lived in Mumbai for seven years before going to Karachi on an assignment where he was abducted and killed by terrorists in 2002.
