Gulbarga gets its first multiplex

Gulbarga, Nov 17 (UNI) The backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region got a taste of advanced entertainment options when a four-screen mutiplex complex, built at a cost of over Rs six crore, was inaugurated here today by Inspector General of Police R K Dutta.

Giving details of the multiplex, its Chairman Girija Shankar Shetty told newspersons here that there were only four cinemas in the city. The multiplex had four screens with a combined seating capacity of 1,900.

''Though no cinema was built in the backward region for the last 30 years, we have come forward to build a multiplex with the intention of providing entertainment to the people of the region.

Latest technology, including imported sound system, has been used in the multiplex,'' he added.
