Dharia re-admitted to hospital
Pune, Nov 17 (UNI) Noted environmentalist Mohan Dharia, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike since November 14 demanding waiver of loans to farmers, was re-admitted to a hospital here late last night.
Hospital sources said his condition was stable.
Earlier, 82-year-old Dharia was rushed to a local hospital on the second day of his fast after complaining of chest pain. The doctors had examined him and found him in stable condition.
Dharia had demanded facilities be given to farmers in drought prone areas irrespective of the size of their farm lands. Another demand includes money lenders, giving loans to farmers at high rates of interest be declared ''illegal'' and police protection be given to such farmers.
