DGP calls on Guv amid law and order upheavel in UP
Lucknow, Nov 17 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Bua Singh today met Governor T V Rajeswar and apprised him of the latest law and order situation in the state.
Raj Bhawan had summoned the DGP this evening in this regard.
During the meeting lasting less than an hour, the DGP gave the details of the crime, that occurred in UP in the recent past, including kidnapping of the 3-year-old Anant in Noida and killing of 15 people in Sitapur.
Sources said the meeting was a regular affair and there was nothing serious about it.
Meanwhile, sources at Raj Bhawan said the DGP was summoned as the governor wanted to have ''base material'' for his speech to be delivered during the coming Police Week.
