Dell launches 4th customer experience centre in India

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) Dell today inaugurated its fourth customer contact centre in India and announced that it will increase its focus on customer satisfaction by investing 150 million dollars in its various initiatives this fiscal.

The centre was inaugurated by Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dayanidhi Maran in the presence of Dell's board member Klaus Luft, Vice President Dick Hunter and Managing Director of International Services (India) Romi Malhotra.

The three-lakh-square-foot customer experience centre in Gurgaon is expected to employ about 1,000 people by the end of this year.

''We will provide the best value to our customers by providing the best technology experience,'' Mr Hunter said.

Dell has been providing customer support to customers in the United States and Europe from a temporary facility in Gurgaon since April. The new facility is part of a global customer support network of the company that includes about 25 centres.

The company had set up its first customer experience centre in India at Bangalore in 2001 to provide frontline support to its customers around the world.

The second and third centres were established in Hyderabad and Chandigarh in 2003 and 2005 respectively, which offer services including sales, technical support, customer care, e-mail support and global financial services to various businesses within Dell.
