CM to take up BHPV's merger issue with Centre

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today assured to take up the merger or take over issue of Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels (BHPV), Visakhapatnam positively by BHEL or HPCL with the Centre.

In a statement here today , Dr Reddy said he would meet the Union Minister for Heavy Industries at Delhi and discuss the issue.

The state government was ready to put the land cost which would be around Rs 200 crore as its equity in case of its take over by BHEL or HPCL.

He enquired with the BHPV Managing Director Omprakash about the current performance of the company.

Job security, employees welfare and sustainability of the company were the main motto of the state government, he added.
