Chennai gets more rains

Chennai, Nov 17 (UNI) The trough of low pressure over South West Bay and adjoining West-Central Bay persisted, bringing isolated rains to some parts of Chennai today.

Under its influence, rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the next 48 hours.

The weather office said heavy rainfall was likely to occur over Coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry during the same period.

Chennai would be generally cloudy with one or two spells of showers or thundershowers.

The weather played hide and seek since morning with some parts of the city receiving sharp showers for nearly 30 minutes, inundating some low-lying areas.
