Cash award to young cricketers for record feat

Hyderabad, Nov 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today announced a cash award of Rs one lakh each to the new cricket sensations Boddepally Manoj Kumar and Mohammed Shaibaaz Tumbi who created a new record by hitting up a mammoth unbeaten 721 runs in a recent tournament.

He directed the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh and the school concerned to give them expert coaching to enable them attain further heights.

Dr Reddy congratulated the boys and wished them to cross many more such records and bring laurels to their parents, institutions, the State and the nation in future.

He also presented them cricket bat and kits and also mementos.
