Briton jailed for filming women indecently

Dubai, Nov 17 (UNI) The General Manager of a British company has been jailed for six months for filming underskirts of women visiting a hypermarket.

The 34-year-old Briton, identified only as PS, was charged with breaching the privacy of women, who wore miniskirts. He will be deported to Britain after he completes his six-month term in jail.

A UAE national working in the hypermarket nabbed the accused as he was secretly filming women using a digital video camcorder, the Gulf News reported.

The UAE national told the police that he saw the accused using a camera to film a teenage girl underneath her skirt.

After being referred to court, the accused denied the charges and pleaded innocent but the court found him guilty. He can now appeal to a higher court.
