Bomb hoax at SBI's main branch in Krishnagar

Krishnagar, Nov 17 (UNI) Panic reigned at the State Bank of India's main branch here this morning after a caller rang up to say that a bomb had been planted within its premises.

The bank manager evacuated the premises and informed the Kotwali police station. Senior police officials rushed to the spot and cordonned off the area.

They combed the premises but the call turned out to be a hoax.

Incidentally, there was a furore in a school in the Gede area nearby a few days ago following a similar hoax call.
