Assam Assembly team meets Nagaland Speaker

Kohima, Nov 17: A three-member team of the Committee on Petition of Assam Assembly led by its chairman Rajib Lochan Pegu, alongwith a few officials had met Nagaland Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie at his office here yesterday.

Official sources here today said the team discussed about the functioning of the Committee and exchanged views for strengthening it as an effective tool for the Legislators to express the grievances of the public and solve them.

The team also visited the upcoming Assembly complex, the State Museum and the famous Second World War Cemetery here.

They would leave Kohima today to visit the Kaziranga National Park in Asom, official sources said.
