Appeal of union minister Arjun Singh's brother dismissed
Allahabad, Nov 17 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has dismissed a special appeal of Dr Sajjan Singh (brother of Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh) and others claiming properties of Maharaja Martand Singh of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh on the basis of alleged will of January 5, 1993 executed in their favour.
The appeal was dismissed by a two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice A N Ray and Justice Ashok Bhushan.
The probate appeal was filed against the judgement of a single judge, by which he had dismissed the probate suit of Dr Sajjan Singh and others by saying they failed to satisfy the court about the due execution and attestation of the will.
Dr Singh and others had moved the High Court on the basis of the will of January 5, 1993 alleged to be executed by the Maharaja in their favour regarding his properties at Rewa, Allahabad and Mumbai.
