Actress Bebi Shakuntala selected for BBMCM Chitrakarmee award

Kolhapur, Nov 17 (UNI) Veteran actress Bebi Shakuntala and film director-producer Govind Kulkarani are among the 20 personalities from the Marathi industry, selected for this year's 'Chitrakarmee' award, instituted by Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Chitrapat Mahamandal (ABMCM).

Announcing the names at a press conference here today, ABMCM Vice-President Subhash Bhurke said the award is given in recognition of their long service and outstanding contribution to the Marathi film industry.

The remaining personalities to be honoured include veteran character actors B Majnalkar, Bhalchandra Kulkarani, actress Asha Patil, Saaroj Sukhtankar, film director-producer G G Bhosale, cameraman Tyagraj Pendharkar, Mr Bhurke (director-writer) himself, and others, he informed.

The award distribution function will be held on December 1 here on the eve of ABMCM 'vardhapan din', he added.
