Velu orders special trains

Chennai, Nov 16 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways R Velu has ordered to run special trains on Chennai Central-Ajmer and Chennai Central- Jodhpur sections to clear the extra rush of passengers during the months of November, December and January next.

A Southern Railway release said the Chennai Central- Ajmer (weekly) special would leave here at 1530 hrs on Thursdays from November 23 to January 18 next and arrive Ajmer at 1200 hrs on Saturdays.

In its return journey the train would leave Ajmer at 2100 hrs on Saturdays from November 25 to January 20 and arrive Chennai Central at 1715 hrs on Mondays.

The Chennai Central-Jodhpur (weekly) special would leave here at 1530 hrs on Mondays from November 20 to January 15 and arrive at Jodhpur at 1155 hrs on Wednesdays.

In its return journey, the train would leave Jodhpur at 2100 hrs on Wednesdays from November 22 to January 17 and arrive here at 1715 hrs on Fridays.

Advance booking for these trains would begin tomorrow, the release added.
