Three more independents file nominations for bypoll

Mysore, Nov 16 (UNI) Three more independent candidates filed their nomination papers for the December four Chamundeshwari Assembly byelection here today.

Messrs P N Srinath, Bhogadi Nagaraj and Dr D N Venkatesh Gowda filed their papers on the penultimate day of filing of nominations.

So far, six persons -- five independents and a Samajwadi Party -- have filed their nomination papers for the bypoll. The Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) candidates were expected to file their papers tomorrow.

Scrutiny of nomination papers would be taken up on November 18 and the last date for withdrawal was November 20.
