Talks between TN, Kerala on November 29 in New Delhi

Chennai, Nov 16: The Centre has fixed November 29 as the date for talks between Tamil Nadu and Kerala to discuss the Mullaperiyar issue in New Delhi.

An official release here said Union Water Resources Minister Saifudin Soz today contacted Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi over the phone and confirmed the date.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, PWD Minister Duraimurugan and other officials would attend the meeting in New Delhi.

Yesterday, the Tamil Nadu Government suggested three different dates for holding the talks, when Minister Saifudin Soz contacted Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and asked for a convenient date to hold the meeting.

The Chief Minister had written to the Union Minister, suggesting that the meeting could be held on any convenient day between November 28 and 30.
