'Taiwan has potential investment opportunities'
Hyderabad, Nov 16: Taipei World Trade Center in India Director Thomas Chang said there were multitude of trade and investment opportunities for exporters in the Taiwan market.
Addressing the members of the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamnbers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) here today, he said Taiwan was experiencing rapid growth in processed food and beverages, transport, IT and telecommunications, minerals and energy, environment protection, buidling construction products and services.
FAPCCI President Sudhir Sanghi said Taiwan was efficient in tool making and moulding and urged them to train the entrepreneurs in Andhra Pradesh in tool making and moulding.
He suggested the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between FAPCCI and Taipei World Trade Center for exchanging information and organising various trade related events.
A delegation from Turkey headed Mr Lutfullah Bilgin met the officials of the FAPCCI and discussed on the business prospects.
Pennsylvania State Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Yablonsky who met the FAPCCI members today said Pennsylvania was the gateway to North America.
He said about 5833 foreign companies were operating in Pennsylvania and India was yet to make its presence felt.
He said they had opened a representative office of commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Hyderabad as the Indian companies had generated an interest to invest in Pennsylvania.
