Six Cops suspended in Bihar
Patna, Nov 16 (UNI) Six policemen were today suspended for dereliction of duty when they were escorting the incarcerated former MLA Rajan Tiwari for his production before a local court yesterday.
Sources at state police headquarter said that all the personnel were found guilty as they allowed Mr Tiwari for shaving in a saloon located near Beur jail when he was returning after his production in the court in connection with a criminal case.
Those who were suspended include four constables, one Assistant Sub Inspector and a driver of the police vehicle, sources added.
Meanwhile, State Home Secretary Afzal Amanullah had ordered senior police superintendent of Patna, Kundan Krishanan to inquire into the incident and submit the report to the government.
