Second year B-Tech student committs suicide

Tirumala, Nov 16 (UNI) A 25-year-old second year B Tech student in a private institute at Nellore committed suicide by consuming poison, due to lack of financial support to realise his ambition to become a scientist, at the Govardan cottage in Tirumala last night.

Police said here, the student N Balaji, hailed from Kuppam in Chittoor district, checked into the cottage on November 14 and had darshan the next day.

The student in a note, which he left in the room, stated that he was taking the extreme step due to depression over lack of support from his parents to realise his ambition.

The body was sent to government Ruia hospital for post-mortem, police added.
