Ruckus at south Mumbai school over shooting of Jolie film

Mumbai, Nov 16 (UNI) Pandemonium prevailed at a south Mumbai school here today following a verbal duel between media photographers and the security guards of Hollywood star Angelina Jolie during the shooting of 'A Mighty Heart' in the school premises.

The shot was about entry of a Pakistan police squad and the actress who plays Mariane Pearl, wife of journalist Daniel Pearl, who was abducted and killed by terrorists in Karachi in 2002, inside the school building.

While the shooting commenced, the school hours were over and all the children rushed out of the building while school buses also entered the premises.

At the same time, a media photographer, who is known to the school staff, tried to enter from the main gate, but was stopped by Jolie's private security guards. This resulted in a verbal duel between the photographers who were trailing Jolie's convoy from her hotel to the school. The school staff asked the photographer to get inside and along with him, all other media photographers also rushed in the school premises.

Incensed by what was going on, parents, who had come to fetch their wards from school, lodged a police complaint against the management for allowing a film shooting to take place during school hours causing inconvinence to their children.

The Azad Maidan police team arrived at the school to sort out the matter. Jolie and the film's crew were still inside the school building even as the police were trying to resolve the problems between the school management trustees, parents and the film crew.

The photographers and the journalists were parked outside the building.

Meanwhile, the afternoon session of the School resumed without any problems.
