Robbers gang busted, 5 arrested

New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) With the arrest of five members of the 'bhatoo' clan, police today claimed to have busted a gang of robbers and worked out more than 22 cases in North-West Delhi.

Four motorcycles, a car and Rs 3.30 lakh cash were seized from their possession, following their arrest over the last three days, according to the police.

The arrest of the rest followed interrogation of one of the gang members on November 13.

The gang members, aged between 24-35 years, hailed from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and Jalpaiguri (West bengal) and belonged to the 'bhatoo' clan, it added.

In another case, police arrested a desperate criminal Rajesh alias Imran from Nangloi area of West Delhi.

Member of an inter-state gang of criminals, the accused was wanted in the Jaiprakash 'Pehelwan' murder case in Bawana.

An attempt-to-murder and five robbery cases were solved with his arrest, police added.
