RLD concerned over farmers' plight

Jaunpur, Nov 16 (UNI) Expressing concern over farmers' suicide in Bundelkhand region, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) today said over the years, the condition of farmers has remained unchanged.

RLD is the major ally of the ruling Samajwadi Party-led Uttar Pradesh government.

Addressing a gathering here, RLD president Chowdhary Ajit Singh said farmers are not getting the due return of their produce.

Mr Ajit said there is an urgent need of a financial package in the region.

He also accused Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati of spreading hatred in the society.
