Police on the lookout for Parihar; Don't glamourise, Amar to media

Bhind/New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) Police were on the lookout for dreaded dacoit Jagjivan Parihar gang following reports that Adobe India CEO Naresh Gupta's abducted son is in his clutches.

Bhind Superintendent of Police Rajababu Singh said Parihar gang had not entered the district so far.

''More than a dozen police teams had been deployed in the Chambal in view of suspicion of Parihar entering into the ravines,'' he said.

Three-year-old Anant was on way to his school on November 13 with his maid when two motorcycle-borne youth abducted him from outside his residence in the posh Sector 15-A of Noida, a satellite township of New Delhi.

The abductors have allegedly handed over Anant to Parihar, who carries a reward of Rs 5.15 lakh on his head. A ransom of Rs two crore has been demanded for his release.

Besides, police were in contact with neighbouring Uttar Pradesh Police.

Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh cautioned the media against ''glamourising'' the kidnapping saying it would only harm the safety of an innocent life.

''It will not be judicious on my part to make comments on the issue except that the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh is making all possible efforts to secure the child's release at the earliest,'' Mr Singh told reporters in New Delhi.

Refusing to make any comment on the status of the investigations, Mr Singh said he joined the nation in praying to God that the child is released safe and secure without any further delay.
