Police arrest an alleged pervert

Rajkot, Nov 16 (UNI) A 55-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly indulging in lewd conduct here.

Several women, led by one Ms Sangitaben Patel had filed a complaint with the police accusing Hasmukbhai Kalani of sexually harassing them by repeatedly throwing love letters, condoms and other offensive material into their houses on several occasions, police said.

Kalani has been indulging in this sort of obscene behaviour since the last one year, and when reprimanded by neighbours, had even threatened to kill them if any one of them were to approach the police.

The accused is a resident of New Rameshwar Society, and his wife has deserted him, police disclosed yesterday.

Interestingly, he is a 'ladies-tailor' by profession, they added.
