Pacetronix launches pace maker wish 20 yr pacing life

Indore, Nov 16 (UNI) Pacetronix, the only pacemaker company of India, has launched a new pacemaker 'Pinnacle Infinity' with a 20 year-pacing life.

Pacetronix Managing Director Atul Sethi, while launching the pacemaker, told mediapersons here last evening the new pacemaker was economical costing Rs 35,000, much less compared to imported pacemakers.

The new pacemaker has been designed keeping in mind specific needs of the country.

He said the company's 'Tiranga' pacemaker, having 9 years 6 months life span, was very popular and was priced at Rs 35,000.

The ISO 9001 certified company had been also offering life time warranty scheme for free replacement of pacemakers.

Pacetronix had also developed a pacemaker costing as little as Rs 24,000 for below poverty line people (BPL) of West Bengal.

The company had signed MoU with the Centre for indigenously developing 'Cochlear Implants' for Rs 5 lakh almost half as against the cost of an imported device.

The same would be made available in the market next year.

Expanding its activities, Pacetronix has developed an implantable neuro-stimulator for pain management of the spine and was planning to launch titanium dental implants.

In collaboration with the city-based Centre for Advance Technology, Pacetronix has been developing high-tech lasers for medical implant welding.

With exports to US, China, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Pakistan and Bangladesh, the Pithampur-based company earned foreign exchange of Rs 25 crore last year.
