Over Rs 29 lakh for militancy victims of Kashmir's Baramulla
Srinagar, Nov 16 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned Rs 29.15 lakh to the militancy-affected people in Baramulla district, an official spokesman said today.
He said the District Level Screening Committee met with District Magistrate, Baramulla Baseer Ahmad Khan in the chair to clear the pending cases regarding payment of ex-gratia relief to the victims of subversive activities.
In all, 40 cases of death, injury and property damage were discussed in the meeting, he added.
While 18 death cases and 12 property damage cases were sanctioned by the committee, the spokesman said another 10 cases were referred for re-verification.
Senior officials of the Army, the BSF, Police and the CRPF attended the meeting.
