Night temp below normal; heavy rains likely at several places

Pune, Nov 16 (UNI) Night temperatures were below normal in Jammu and in some parts of coastal Orissa and south coastal Tamil Nadu.

They were appreciably to markedly above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kashmir, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh and in some parts of Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujrat state, north Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalseema and of coastal Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and sikkim, east Uttar pradesh, Punjab, Konkan, Uttaranchal and Goa, Marathwda, coastal Andhra Pradesh and of south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Himachal Pradesh from were data were sparse.

Northeast monsoon has been active in Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Tamil Nadu and at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep and at a few places in Rayalseema and Andman and Nicobar Isalnds and at isolated places in coastal Karnataka and south interior Karnataka.Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh,Haryana,Punjab,Rajasthan,Gujrat State, Konkan and Goa,Madhya Maharashtra,Marathwada,Telangana and north interior Karnataka.
