Minister's resignation from MLA post accepted

Bhopal, Nov 16 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Speaker Ishwardas Rohani has accepted the resignation of state PHE Minister Rampal Singh from Udaypura assembly constituency.

Mr Rohani today said Mr Singh tendered his resignation on November 14 following his election from the Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency in the recently-conducted by-poll.

The number of vacant seats in the 230-member Vidhan Sabha has now become two, including Pandhana seat, where by-poll was slated to take place on December 4.

The Pandhana seat was vacated following the death of BJP MLA Kishorilal Verma.
