Minister Angalan gets bail harassment case

Puducherry, Nov 16 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Judicial Magistrate Damodaran today granted bail to Social Welfare Minister P Angalan in the wife harassment case.

Mr Angalan surrendered before the Court today and obtained bail.

Tirukkanoor Police on October 31 had registered a case under section 498 (a) IPC against the Minister on a complaint from his second wife Kavi Priya that she was being harassed and tortured by the Minister.

However, Mr Angalan obtained an anticipatory bail from the Puducherry Principal District and Sessions court and surrendered before the court today as instructed in the anticipatory bail.
