Militancy victims of north Kashmir paid compensation
Srinagar, Nov 16 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government has sanctioned exgratia relief among the militancy victims in 40 cases of north Kashmir district of Baramulla, an official spokesman said.
He said the amount was sanctioned by a committee which met under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Baramulla Baseer Ahmad Khan.
He said the committee discussed pending cases of death, injury and property damage in militancy-related incident for payment of exgratia relief.
In all, 40 cases were discussed in the meeting while 18 death cases and 12 property damage cases were sanctioned by the committee for payment and another 10 cases were referred for re-verification.
The representatives of Army, BSF, Police and CRPF attended the meeting.
