Major fire breaks out at Western India Transhipper at Vasco

Panaji, Nov 15 (UNI) A major fire was reported at the Western India Shipyard late tonight.

Authorities said tyres stockpiled in transhipper T S Periyamma docked at the shipyard caught fire at about 2105 hrs.

Fire tenders from Vasco Port town have rushed to the spot and are fighting the fire, they added.

Further reports are awaited.
