Mahoba's DM summoned by State Information Commission

Mahoba, Nov 16 (UNI) The State Information Commission has summoned the District Magistrate of Mahoba district for not providing neccesary information to an applicant under the Right To Information Act.

Official sources today said the Commission has directed District Magistrate Samir Verma to give reasons for his failure to provide the necessary information to the applicant, Devraj Sharma.

Mr Devraj had complained to the revenue officials that some department employees in connivance with the land 'mafia' had committed irregularities in papers pertaining to his plot located on Beeja Nagar road.

After the concerned authorities did not take any action, he approached the tehsildar of Mahoba.

When the tehsildar also failed to help him, he knocked the door of the State Information Commission.

On October 18, the DM was directed to appear before the Commission.
