Literature alone could expose tribal culture: Mein

Itanagar, Nov 16 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Education Minister Chowna Mein today said the tribal history and culture can be exposed to the people only through literature.

Inaugurating a National book week celebration at Tezu in Lohit district, Mr Mein stressed upon the need to reorient the thought and planning process to record the folk tales.

He also urged the scholars and the people to infuse reading habit among the generation next, official sources said.

Book fairs should be held in the state every year along with library movement, Mr Mein stressed.

He also invited suggestions from experts to improve library system in the state by bringing outside resources.
