Laksha Kumkumarchana performed

Tirupati, Nov 16 (uni) As part of the nine-day "kartheeka Brahmotsavam" festival of Goddess Sri Padmavathi, the consort of Lord Venkateswara, from tommorrow, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) today conducted "laksha kumkumarchana" pooja in the temple at Tiruchanoor near here today.

The pooja, which is performed once in a year, began at 0700hrs in the temple and lasted more than five hours.

As many as 65 couples participated in the ritual in the presence of TTD chairman B Karunakar Reddy, local Tirupati MLA M Venkataramana, temple Deputy executive officer Mr Narayana and TTD officials.
