Kerala and Punjabi share honours in varsities kayaking

Chandigarh, Nov 16 (UNI) Kerala pipped hosts Punjabi Univeristy, Patiala by a wafer-thin margin of one point (88-87) to lift the men's trophy in the All-India Inter-Univeristy Kayaking and Canoeing Championship at the Sukhna Lake International Water Channel here today.

However, Punjabi University women pushed Kerala to second spot in the women's kayaking competitions. Punjabi collected 84 points while Kerala got the runners-up position.

Punjabi University, Patiala also won the men's canoeing trophy while Kerala secured the second position.
