Jasjeet-Kuldeep duo win stableford event at PSPB inter-unit golf

Greater Noida, Nov 16 (UNI) In a thrilling finish, the duo of Jasjeet Singh (GAIL) and Kuldeep Bery (IOCL) won the Stableford competition on the opening day of the 27th PSPB inter Unit Golf Tournament at the Jaypee Greens here today.

The duo ended in a tie with Saurabh Bahuguna of ONGC and Akhil Nath of IOCL at 9-under gross. The former won on a count-back.

The Stableford event was played on a better ball team format with each team comprising of two players, each from a different unit. In this format the better score of the two partners was counted and hence encouraged aggressive play.

The two-day strokeplay event begins tomorrow.
