Israel army kills Palestinian gunman in West Bank

NABLUS, West Bank, Nov 16 (Reuters) Israeli soldiers killed a Palestinian gunman in a clash in the occupied West Bank today, Palestinian medical officials said.

An army spokeswoman said troops spotted an armed gunman in a refugee camp in the city of Nablus and opened fired, hitting him. She had no further details.

The medical officials said the gunman was 26 years old.

Nablus is a frequent scene of clashes between Israeli soldiers and members of Palestinian militant groups.
