HP government sanctions 5 per cent DA
Shimla, Nov 16 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh government has sanctioned the dearness allowance (DA) installment of five per cent due to the employees of the state government from July this year, thereby clearing all the pending installments.
Now the employees would be drawing 29 per cent of their basic pay as dearness allowance.
The decision of the government was announced in the Joint Consultative Committee Meeting held here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary S S Parmar.
The government also announced an increase in the monthly Capital Allowance from existing Rs 100 to Rs 175, thereby giving a benefit of Rs 75 to each employees posted in the capital to be paid from February this year.
The Government further decided to constitute a high-level Committee under the Chairmanship of the Principal Secretary (Finance) to sort out the anomalies of pay disparities pending disposal at various level.
