Housing ministers of all states to meet here
Hyderabad, Nov 16 (UNI) The two-day Housing Ministers Conference to be held here from November 17 will discuss issues related to urbanisation, land tenure, urban poverty, institutional finance for housing, water and sanitation.
The meeting would also focus on availability of land, private sector perspective on land, the need and modalities for investment, micro finance, public sector role as facilitator for land and housing and best practices for social housing.
The two-day meeting would be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Ms Selja. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would be the chief guest.
The Housing Ministers' meet would crystallise views on housing and human settlements, which would be discussed and deliberated in the forthcoming Asia-Pacific Ministerial conference being held in New Delhi from December 13 to 16, according to an official release.
