Gulf Oil bags Rs 300cr mining contract from Coal India, SCL
New Delhi, Nov 16 (UNI) Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd, a Hinduja Group company, has secured mining orders from Coal India Ltd (CIL) and Singareni Collieries Ltd (SCL) worth Rs 300 crore.
With these two orders -- Rs 190 crore from CIL and Rs 110 crore from SCL -- the total order book of the company, in mining, has increased to Rs 400 crore.
The projects are likely to be executed in the next three years, the company said in a statement today.
Gulf Oil also expects large contracts in the field of infrastructure, in which it has ventured recently, company's Managing Director S Pramanik said.
Expecting the quantum of projects to grow, the company has cleared a capital expenditure of Rs 75 crore for purchase of state-of-the-art equipments and vehicles such as heavy duty earth moving tippers, excavators, graders and dozers, he pointed out.
''We have undertaken mining and infrastructure work since 2002 and have already executed projects valued at over Rs 205 crore... in the scheduled time,'' Head of Mining and Infrastructure Division of the company T T Das said.
