Five days week in government offices
Patna, Nov 16: Bihar government has decided to introduce five- day week in all government offices from next year.
A decision to this effect was taken by State Cabinet in a meeting today, said cabinet secratary Girish Shankar.
He said that working hours of the government offices would be from 9 AM to 6 PM with one hour lunch break from one PM to two PM. Besides Sunday, Saturday would also be holiday during the week, he added.
State cabinet also approved the grant of Rs one crore each to Bihar state religious board and Kasiprasad Research Institute.
Mr Shankar said that a fund of Rs 18.36 crore had been sanctioned by the cabinet for Infrastructure Development of Chanakya National Law University.
