Ejaz Pathan attacked in jail

Mumbai, Nov 16 (UNI) Eajaz Pathan, the Dubai-deported blasts accused and close aide of Dawood Ibrahim, was attacked by some other convicts in the serial blasts case at Arthur Road Jail in South Central Mumbai yesterday.

According to sources, Pathan lodged at the jail and suffering from paralysis and uses a wheel chair, was attacked by other unnamed accused after an heated argument between them over some petty issue.

The unnamed accused also attacked other accused persons assisting Pathan with the wheelchair.

Arthur Road Jail Superintendent Swati Sathe late this evening, submitted a report to TADA Judge P D Kode about the incident. The contents of the report were not available.

However, court sources confirmed that Sathe submitted a report to Judge Kode.

The court is expected to pursue the report tomorrow.
